I hope that's true. When Nagy was here we threw the ball but still used the HB up to their full potential...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

We are keeping a hall of fame head coach and bringing in a guy who will better relate to our star qb and the aerial passing game we need. Deferring to the HOF coach who doesn't really need help with playcalling. I hoped for new blood too but can't see how this isn't better. Andy Reid plays like a nice guy but I doubt he takes dysfunction lightly. Whatever issues we had last year, which do feel unique to last year, Im sure have been addressed. Don't know how much to believe of the EB story but seems most people feel his role felt off last year at the very least

Pretty sure they were in need of a QB coach, not a second HC.

Belichick has 1 playoff win in 6 seasons as a HC without Tom Brady. Wtf does that tell you? His ass would have likely been fired years ago if he never had him.

Gary Kubiak has a SB bc his defense carried him and Peyton Manning. Hell Zac Taylor was carried by his defense to the SB and his QB didn’t even play that great.

Situation is everything. Not surprising that shit teams are shit teams mostly bc they have a shit QB and good teams are good teams bc they have a good/great QB.

I don't quite think so. The biggest factor I think is just how long Andy Reid decides to stay. It could be a couple more seasons or 10. I personally think 4 to 5 more seasons. Mostly if he stays healthy enough we will win a lot more games with Andy. So I don't think the Chiefs have decided and lots of changes could happen including winning another Super Bowl with HC Andy Reid OC EB and DC Spags. Then I have no doubt EB would become another teams HC and Nagy takes over OC duties. Season 2023 I anticipate Nagy to be OC and if all things go well EB will be a HC somewhere. Or not. We could just fall apart and never sniff the playoffs again.

Yeah, I don't know why but I think it might work. I could see him George Seiferting a super talented team just long enough after Andy leaves. I realize he was a disaster in Chicago. But the Chiefs and Andy and most importantly mahomes seem to really love the guy.

As Rasputin said, coaching is not the problem with this team. We have(had) several underperforming and aging players that need to be replaced (Hitchens, Matthieu, Sorensen, Clark, etc) and Mahomes needs a #2 and #3 receiver via draft and free agency. Bring Kareem Hunt back and this team will go back to the SB where it belongs.

Because like Clay or DJBILL can't be wrong if I'm always right about something.

That part was said in jest or to be a smart ass.

The way people are slamming the decision to bring back EB when top offensive players want him back. The way this thread has gone so many sourpuss and we haven't even had the draft yet or played a game in preseason. Unbelievable negativity and vibe last few weeks. Mostly because of that stupid article that through a man under the bus. It was wishy washy and contradictory.
