Schefter: Steelers Contacting Teams to Trade Big Ben for Top 10 pick

http://twitter.com/adam_schefter
Pittsburgh has begun contacting teams to trade Ben Roethlisberger for a top 10 pick. At least one team considering it. Story far from done.

They are a spoiled fanbase.

I think the Steelers organization believe they can win without him. Maybe not next year but soon after. They think long term, all the time.

Win like they did before him where they were Marty every year, in the playoffs and a loss, hey that's really something to aspire to.

Any fan that really wants to trade their teams franchise player because "he doesn't act right" needs a reality check.

What do the Steelers and the Rooney family do any further to prove that they know what they're doing for the betterment of their franchise?

JFC, Mecca, they've won TWO Super Bowls this decade to go along with FOUR in the 1970's.

We're not talking about the Hunts, we're talking about essentially the first family of the NFL.

Says the Patriots, Colts, and Steelers as they've been in every Super Bowl but about one this past decade...

They hadn't won a superbowl in my lifetime till they finally got a QB, they can ship him out and wait 30 years to win another one, be my guest.

I'm sure that has everything to do with image and nothing to do with who those teams are built around.

This. Ben would be a blip and they would move on doing what they do and get a top 10 pick out of him.

I think Mecca would support a convicted child molester as our QB as long as he won SB's.

He's not my friend, I really could give 2 ****s if he's winning bowls.

Also did you all forget what the Steelers were before they drafted Roethlisberger, yep they can go back to being the perennial playoff loser.

Possible Scenario:

Steelers get a top 10 pick for Rapeslutsburger. They use their two 1st rounders to trade up to #1 to grab Bradford.

I am not a Bradford fan, but there has been rumors that Pittsburgh like him a lot.

My statement wasn't about Big Ben.

So would you support the Chiefs having a convicted child molester as our QB as long as he was winning SB's?

Huh?

They were in the AFC Championship year after year after year under Cowher.

Now, I absolutely think they would have won at least one more Super Bowl, if not several, if they had a legitimate QB at the helm during those years.

But they were FAR from a perennial loser.
