Florida Planeteers....riding out the storm or evacuating?
It's my first weekend here in Florida and look what happens....Hurricane Matthew.


I lived in Columbia SC and they had the 1000 year flood there. Now they are experiencing one of the strongest hurricanes in several years.

Maybe I am the bad weather charm.

Havent heard from my brother in Cocoa since this morning.

He is about 12 miles inland so flooding shouldn't be a problem but I am guessing he lost power and cell service.

Weather Channel is really scrambling tryng to justify scare TV. The wall eye is just skirting the coastline the eye has never come ashore. Georgia and SC look out. The clocked winds in Daytona Beach and Palm Beach was in the 60 mph range. The 140 mph winds NOAA has reported was by airplane flying through the storm into the eye out at sea. Still better safe than sorry but I think Florida may dodge a bullet. Prayers for Georgia and SC.

Yeah I noticed CNN was doing the same thing. It's about like any news these days, if it's not that bad, by God lets just spin it and make shit up.

With that said, the eye wall is likely going to hit someplace rather than remain out at sea, hopefully it with be downgraded by then.

Wouldnt it be amazing if that thing cruised along the shore and never moved inland just on out to sea. Like the weather channel guy said its like someone is behind the wheel driving this thing.
