West Virginia's defense gave up 60 touchdowns.
60 Only 5 teams allowed more scores. They also allowed 470 yards per game, average. They were also 11th in the nation in scoring offense and 10th in offensive yardage. |

Which player was more productive during his time in college than Geno? Which player has more upside at their potential NFL position than Geno does at his? Which player possesses better traits for their position than Geno does at his? I'll clue you in - nobody. Not Starlite, not Joeckel (who wasn't even the best tackle on his college team), not Jarvis Jones, not Barkevious Mingo, not Dee Milliner, not Keenan Allen, not Kenny Vaccaro, not nobody. The top guys at their respective positions do not give you more for that position than Geno does for his. The only guy that is potentially close in terms of what he offers for the position is Chance Warmack, and he's a ****ing guard. And the Chiefs already took two All-American guards (Asamoah & Hudson) recently. And I'd even argue that Barrett Jones was a better guard than Warmack was when Jones was playing guard his sophomore year and got named first team All-American. (And I'd also argue that Warmack also played next to Jones this past season as well as next to DJ Fluker - both players that were more highly regarded as NFL prospect than Warmack going into this season.) Nope. It's Geno. |

I agree with your sentiment, but Mims is a Raven since Jan 3. I wonder if that got him a ring? |

I knew that once Cassel was signed/traded for, we were stuck with him for literally years. And he sucked. He didn't have good pocket presence during his starting stint at New England and the Chiefs were going to have to give him a very good offensive line for him to have any success. Okung was an elite level LT prospect who would have had Albert move into the LG position, where he could have been absolutely dominant. That would have given Cassel that talented offensive line. Not that it would have mattered as he's proven he's freaking horrible and has no business starting in the league. As well, I wasn't really high on any of the recent QB prospects that the Chiefs actually had a shot of drafting other than Kaepernick and was hoping that he would have been there with the Chiefs second rounder that year. Niners snatched him earlier in that round... As well, Albert has finally "gotten it" and is playing to his draft position. He's not elite, but he's turned into a pretty good left tackle and with a QB with any degree of field/pocket awareness, arm strength and accuracy, "pretty good" can turn into "very good" for that position. And, honestly, Geno is as good a pro level QB prospect as I've seen in the past decade plus. He's got all the tools to be elite, and has traits that are "unteachable" that all the high level QB's in the NFL need to possess. He's also a film room junkie that apparently puts in a lot of work off the field. It's all there and the Chiefs finally have the chance to take "that" guy. This year it's not about reaching for a guy like Sanchez or Clausen or the like. It's about finally having the chance to get the best guy in the draft which also happens to be at the position of biggest need. |

It wasn't just Okung, it was every left tackle prospect over the last 5 years...but that's behind us now.
Seeing Branden Albert retweet that stuff about Geno was exciting! |

But, with Winston and Albert along with Hudson, Asasmoah and Allen/Stephenson, that's a pretty solid, young offensive line that already has time together and will only get better. Now, you can pick up guys in the later rounds/free agency to fill in/depth like successful teams do and go after the top players/athletes versus draft strictly on a need basis. And, as I stated, oddly enough, the Chiefs are in a position to get the best player in this draft which also happens to be at the last piece of the puzzle for the Chiefs to begin to have success in the NFL. I've always said, there are three things that give you a chance to win on Sunday: 1. A real QB 2. Protect that real QB 3. Pressure the other QB We've got 2 and 3. We now have the opportunity to get the most important part of it. |

If you actually watched the NFC Championship Game last year... which you clearly did not given the nature of your inane comments... you would have recognized the fact the 49ers had zero downfield passing game thanks mostly to Alex Smith's inability to throw the ball downfield. Alex Smith's limitations were exposed. He can put up a good QB rating, managing a conservative passing offense behind a good running game, offensive line and stifling defense... yet when it is needed for him to make plays downfield in the passing game he comes up short. Sounds like pretty much every QB the Chiefs have had... save for a flash or two from Joe Montana and Trent Green... the past 20+ years. The stink from your True Fanisms are getting old as is your lame "I secretly love Carl Peterson" act. Kill yourself. |

So according to HotCarl, we shouldn't draft anyone in this draft because they haven't played in the NFL yet?
