Field for Chiefs vs. Rams is horrible

https://brobible.com/sports/article/...a-chiefs-rams/

This is why you don’t play NFL games in shitty third world countries.

They’re talking about pushing the game back, so now both teams won’t get the full bye week.

Get ready to get your tickets and join us at the Coliseum on Monday. Let's turn the Coliseum red.

both teams should show up in Mexico to play the game, then each offensive play just do 3 kneel downs then put it out of bounds. repeat.

Sure a Q.

But ......

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...me-mexico-city

Grounds crews appeared to be laying new sod on the field at Estadio Azteca on Tuesday amid what sources describe as significant concerns about the poor playing surface for next week's showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams in Mexico City.

**** the NFL and their greedy bullshit. If they choose to play the game there, Andy should refuse to have his players come out of the locker room. Just forfeit the game. We can afford it with the Pats loss last Sunday.

We don't NEED this game to get the #1 seed . . . . .

If you’re wondering about moving a game on short notice, there is precedent. The NFL moved a San Diego Chargers-Miami Dolphins game in 2003 to Arizona on short notice because of wildfires.

And if you’re wondering about the status of the LA Coliseum, nothing is scheduled until Nov. 24 (USC vs. Notre Dame).

Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times reported that “NFL rules say the home team in the international series (in this case, the Rams) has to have its home stadium available in the event the game has to be moved, for whatever reason.”

This shouldn't be a difficult decision... move the game to LA.

The NFL requires the designated home team to have their home stadium available on standby for international games as a back-up option in case situations like this come up so this is already built into the planning process.

I am genuinely curious what the NFL's official contingency plan is for when an entire team refuses to play. There has to be some insane amount of penalties like forfeiting your entire draft and millions of dollars or something. They can't risk the chance of advertisers getting angry over a missed game.

Game should be played under protest by both teams if they are forced to play on that field and any player injured during that game should sue the living crap out of the NFL.

Just do all the in-stadium announcements in Spanish and call it good. Los Angeles is the only choice here.

Yeah, I fully expect the field to superficially look good and the NFL to say "its ok everyone, the game is on" and order both teams to fly south.

By halftime, the field will be torn the hell up. We saw the sod they were laying down, and it was those small rolls you use for the front lawn of a ****ing house.
