When the game is close at the end, I want Andy Reid to go full Andy Reid. Play calling must have misdirection. If he wants to run, fine. But don't just line up and run between the tackles. Line up empty. Use motion and keep the defense off balance. If it's a pass, keep one or two backs in the backfield and play fake. Don't go vanilla. That's not Andy Reid at his best.

THIS! Your going conservative at least dont let them get 9 guys in the box. Put people in motion, hand it off to Hill, for crissakes something different.

Is it possible Reid is going to figure this out? Realistically, he hasn't yet in his career as a coach, but this is the first time he's had the NFL's best offensive weapon(s) at his disposal while having an atrocious defense. Is it possible the game against the Chargers finally convinces him to be more aggressive? It seems so blatantly obvious that you "roll" (to use a Reid-ism) with what got you there.

This...... end result is usually less than desirable when Fat Andy is calling the plays.

I was under the impression that Andy hasn't given up any of the play calling this season.

I keep trying to be an optimist. But after 20 or so years... It's putting a lot of faith that he can change. But I'll stay optimistic. He moved on from Alex Smith. He embraced the spread. Maybe an old dog can learn new tricks.

He says he will fix it and address the same issues at least 30-40 times... Are you doubting his ability to fix the same issues he said he would fix the last 30-40 times he has been responsible for the same issues?

I've stated that Bob needs to be fired, so what? A man in his position needs to do more than what he's doing, he's got a platform we don't. Rude as us? No.. But he could ramp-up the pressure with each article, closer and close to rude, until the organization has to directly address why he's not fired. IOW, what's he doing right that's keeping him employed? One safety is out, so it's not his fault? Andy spent all the team's energy building an offense, thus sacrificing everything, so it's not his fault? Hunt, Veach, and Reid are giving as a free lesson in what loyalty means? We hired players too stupid to know where to line up, so it's not his fault?

At some point Sam has to get mean, perhaps to the point where they threaten to remove him from the press that has access. And if they do either (remove him, or threaten to remove him [like the Royals did some years back]), then that's one hell of a story...

So a little NYC media might be nice right about now. So we don't have to fly a banner.

Easier said than done. I’m sure if Sutton isn’t fired, you might see some of those articles and questions, but I can’t blame a guy for protecting his own ass with a job that he loves. The story he wrote last year is way more critical than most beat writers would ever do itself.

Not to mention he brings up that he wrote that article and links to it nearly every week in his online Minutes column. It's not like he's hiding from it.

I think, like Eagles fans, that we hope the last colossal collapse will be the one that's the cold water in his face that has him realize that he has to resist this formula that only he thinks will win. So far he hasn't, he's well insulated. And if there's a reason he CAN'T, he's not bothered to explain it to the fans through the press. As long as Hunt let's him keep collapsing without consequences, what incentive is there for him to think he needs to change?

Like an alcoholic that swears off alcohol for the 100th time (after a bender), with Andy it appears to only last until he walks to the next bar. Andy needs an intervention, but Hunt thinks he's fine.
