Never let the KC Star forget what they did...
They essentially ruined Hill's reputation and cost him millions...for nothing.

Never let that pig of a human, Fat Brooke off the hook. There needs to be local public ramifications...they shouldn't be able to walk away unscathed. She needs to be run out of town along with Mellinger.

They need to be constantly heckled and shamed... the same way they brought that humiliation on an innocent man. Let's see how they like being a target of a witch hunt...one they actually deserve.

Teach them that their words come with a price...

I hope Hill, at least, comes at them with a law suit....even if he doesn't win.

If someone did this to me...I would use every resource at my disposal to see them held accountable.

Hill is found innocent again... He needs to be suspended for saying mean things to a woman who's trying to sabotage his career...we dont care that the recording was covert and intended for blackmail or the fact she was lying the entire time. Hell...we dont even care that she has legit psychiatric issues. I mean, she was just trying to frame him for child abuse...no big deal. Hill MUST be punished....it's the only way.

The old adage of journalism is 'do as little damage as possible' to those involved in the story.

A lot of these people have a bone to pick with the fact Hill was EVER allowed into the league, and their coverage reflected that.

To say that the Star was 'simply reporting facts' is bullshit. They were using their pulpits as activists to push a certain narrative against a guy. They never expressed skepticism over his guilt, but now are all expressing skepticism over his non-guilt. When skepticism and credulity each flow in one direction, bias is exposed.

It's all 'wait and see' now, whereas that was not what was being encouraged in the other direction. It was a pile-on. You had guys like Florio grandstanding saying he'd stop covering the NFL if Hill was allowed on the field again.

The distinction between 'journalist' and 'social activist' has been so muddied there's almost no distinction between them at this point. Apparently that's the case even in ****ing sportsball.

Anyone who thinks the tape is an issue isn't worth your time. You secretly record just about anyone for a few days and you'll probably find some interesting "things" on the tape. It's meaningless.
