I see. I honestly wasn't 100% sure what was going on with all of that - hence the question. I was just hoping it wouldn't hurt Cliff's commitment to KU in some sort of manner.

Curie High, the Chicago school attended by Kansas basketball signee Cliff Alexander, has forfeited its 24 victories and a city title after an investigation found the school played with seven ineligible players this season.
The Chicago Sun-Times first reported the news after the Chicago Public Schools released its findings on Friday in a statement. The ineligible players were not named. According to the Sun-Times, the players would have been eligible if the proper forms were filed with the Chicago Public Schools office. Curie is still be eligible for the Illinois High School Association tournament because the state association has different rules than the Chicago Public Schools. In the statement, the Chicago Public Schools said students are required to have a 2.0 grade-point average or have a signed certified “Individual Study Plan.” To meet the Illinois High School Association requirements, “students must be passing five courses and achieving a minimum of 2.5 credits at the time of the tournament.” Last week, Alexander led Curie to a four-overtime victory over Whitney Young in the Chicago city championship game. Alexander outdueled Duke-bound senior center Jahlil Okafor, a Whitney Young senior and the consensus No. 1 player in the country. Alexander, a 6-foot-8 power forward, is rated as Rivals’ No. 4 overall player. Read more here: http://www.kansascity.com/2014/02/28...#storylink=cpy

Geez. KU fans are arguing with each other on twitter if they should be a 1 seed or 2 seed in the NCAA tournament. Elite program problems.
I'd rather be a 2 seed in the Midwest than a 1 seed in the east, FWIW.

Teams starting a bunch of seniors could either fluster the pups of KU, or we could just be more athletic. Will be interesting to see.

If we play with the energy and urgency that we are capable of playing, it won't matter who we play. It's hard getting to a young team. It helps if you have some vets on the squad helping out. You're right we will find out soon enough.

I've noticed some KU fans are taking this loss too hard. I mean, the only motivation ploy Self could come up with was "we can't celebrate our 10th straight title we already won with three games left until we beat this fringe tourney team." Hard to get up for that. Whether we won it outright before tip or not, we were gonna win it outright eventually. They're kids. I don't wanna be in Self's shoes lol.
