Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

Brady admitted in this press conference he likes the ball at the 12.5 ( the lower pressure which is legal). So this is what he means by liking a soft ball. He considers that the perfect inflation for him.

Also per this video the Colts player, D'Qwell Jackson, who intercepted the ball said they used correctly inflated balls in the game before the half, that the softer balls were removed before the half—much earlier than previously reported. (2:14) First I heard that. Plus no one knows the psi of all the balls either.

Good lord.

There are millions of cars out there driving around that don't fit all sorts of laws. Whether theres a broken tail light, bad emissions, invalid registration. These cars can have their own damn parade in front of a cop shop and until they see the tail light, or smell the exhaust, or run the plates, there isn't a problem.

Of course, these people don't drive in front of the cop shop, because they know they would get in trouble.

Successful completions, and the occasional scramble are Brady's job.
I believe that the rule that manning and brady lobbied for was to let them make the balls more comfortable for them to throw, or did I misunderstand the rule?

I suppose I should count you as someone who has lost all respect for Rodgers than as well for submitting balls that were over inflated?

That was later changed to just one ball being very low—2 psi lower. The others were closer to 1 psi below. The ball intercepted by Jackson was the one that was 2 psi lower. I posted this somewhere earlier in here.

Here's another report saying the same.

What I don't understand is why the league didn't find a better way to get rid of the slick surfaces on the new balls making the whole thing moot. You'd have to figure that at some point something goofy like this was going to happen.

Dude, are you just trolling me? It's Brady's\Pats' job to inflate the balls to a pressure allowed by rules. It's the Ref's job to validate that was done. It is not Brady's job to "make the ball comfortable" if that means cheating to do so.

QB's are allowed to massage the ball to prevent beading in the rain and things like that. Eli Manning does as well as other QB's. They don't like the slick feel on a new ball. This has nothing to do with psi inflation. It's legal and is not considered cheating.

I'm not a big fan of sticky gloves either. May as well play that pool game with the sticky balls and paddles.

I'm ok with blaming the NFL for everything. But we can't fine them. So I expect the shit to roll downhill.

You still need the coordination to get both of your hands on the ball.

The tackiness of those gloves only goes so far.

Per this report it was NFL official Mike Kensil, formerly of the Jet's front office until 2006, who lied about how much the balls were deflated originally.

You're STILL on that Jets conspiracy? A franchise that can't even wipe their asses correctly is framing one of the most detail-obsessed franchises in the league for cheating... yeah, that's completely logical.
