Yep, that's a big part of it. Tunsil's not worth all the draft capital we would've given up for him.

Not saying he's not good. But look at who was playing with and who was throwing to him for nearly his entire career. Two 1st ballot HOFers in Brady and Brees account for three of those, Goff in 2018 when Gurley was the focus of the offense still, and then Watson, when DHop was the one getting all the attention.

He's been good, but not great.

Good points. At this point he would be an improvement on anything we had in the room last season Though.

More than likely.

Still holding out a tiny hope we'll get DHop, who I think is a better fit in KC than OBJ. And $34M over two years is a steal for a top-10 caliber WR.

I think either of them fit well. Hell Andy king of playing to strength. But i personally prefer dhop the player. Seeing him tryin to reel kyler in on the sidelines makes me think he’s a guy who get what it takes. Not that obj isn’t or doesn’t. Just prefer dhiop.

I'm out on trading for Hopkins unless they eat a large chunk of his cap number. This is ridiculous.

"In 2023, Hopkins will earn a base salary of $19,450,000, while carrying a cap hit of $30,750,000 and a dead cap value of $22,600,000."

Me as well. Can’t go into the season counting on MVS, Toney, Skyy knowing Kelce is a year older. Need someone else to take the pressure off.

It's a lot more likely we end up with Thielen (though I guess he might get picked up by someone else) or Hollins or some other middling possession receiver similar to JJSS. And it'll probably work, as long as whoever it is stays healthy.

But I'd really like to see what Andy and Pat could do with a legit future HOF WR, while Travis is still in his prime. Plus, the defensive concept KC had the most trouble with last season was press man, and you can't play that against Deandre. And you can't play zone against Travis, so what the hell would DCs do then?

Well said. Two more years of prime Kelce with Hopkins would be really fun to watch.

We love Veach but OT and WR are two places he hasn't drafted well. That's why those two positions are still our biggest needs. Niang, Kinnard, Hardman, and Moore are not reliable every down starters.

Not saying this is even remotely possible, but right now ESPN shows Kinnard as our starting RT, lol. I do hope he shows a lot of improvement in 2023, but i can't believe that Andy's going to start him over a healthy Niang, who's at least been in the system, and taken live snaps in real games.

He's not a top 10 WR now and hasn't been for a few seasons.
