What happened when we played teams that were actually good?

Oh come on, I'm so tired of that bullshit. It's the NFL, 6-0 is 6-0.

We beat the Patriots with Maclin and Ware healthy, not to mention all the other additions on offense this year.

It's absolutely is titanic. Houston is ten times the player Ford is.

I can't believe you'd even try to argue against it.

10x?

Yeah, that's not hyperbole, at all. Just like all your claims of Eric Berry being so amazing and irreplaceable.

Utter nonsense.

Houston is an elite pass rusher off the edge and from the interior. He's also an elite run defender. He has plus coverage abilities.

Dee Ford is kind of a good pass rusher sometimes.

There is no comparison.

Yeah, I never made that assertion in the least. You just kept trying to diminish his contributions based on cherry-picked stats like you're doing now and I showed you that your argument was bogus.

"He doesn't have many INTs!", "Houston only had 25 tackles!" (Who gives a shit how many tackles a 3-4 OLB has anyway?).

Houston's impact, like Poe whom you also underrate (I'm noticing a theme here), goes FAR beyond the stat sheet.

He had one elite season. He'll need more before he's considered elite and not just a guy. I'll be shocked if he ever has a 15+ season again.

What the ****? We argued Berry's value all of 2014. You have a short memory.

So, stats are out the window, which makes zero sense. But if anyone's diminishing a player, it's you, not me.

More ****ing hyperbole and horseshit. The only "negative" thing I've said about Poe is that he won't be paid among the highest defensive lineman in the league if he doesn't have 8+ sacks in 2016.

You're such a ****ing jock sniffer. You should be embarrassed.

In any regard, I'd be pleased to have Reid as HC for several more years. Guy is good.
fair point, maybe Reid can do better with less responsibilities. Dorsey is certainly a strength.

Reid still can't manage the clock or not freak out calling plays every once in awhile though.

Maybe i'm expecting too much wanting a 24 yr vet coach to know when to call a timeout or how to install/run a hurry-up offense.

Totally agree, i imagine Hunt still regrets firing Marty.

If Reid wins 10 games each year and makes the playoffs 50% of the time, he'll never get fired.

You're such a ****ing jock sniffer. You should be embarrassed.

1. Houston had 11 sacks in 11 games in 2013. That's elite production. Over the course of the 2013 and 2014 seasons he played 27 games and recorded 33 sacks. That's a 1.22 sack per game average. Some of the best pass rushers in NFL history average 0.60 sacks per game over the length of their career. Houston's been elite since 2013.

2. We argued Berry's value, yes, which devolved into a "how good is Berry, really?" debate. Sometimes you'd just outright say a safety isn't worth the kind of money he's asking for (totally fine- I even agree with this assessment) and others you'd argue that Berry really wasn't all that good in the first place, which is what I took issue with. I never said he was irreplaceable. You're misremembering.

3. Stats aren't everything. For God's sake, you're arguing that against Poe's impact because he doesn't have a ton of sacks! Bro, do you even football? How many NTs in the ****ing history of the NFL have ever had 8 sacks? Your logic is absurd.

Totally agree, Dorsey could be the difference.

Dorsey is a no frills type guy which can be frustrating but he looks to have a real nose for talent. Guys like him are hard to find.

I imagine any decent coach is going to enjoy success with the steady influx of talent that Dorsey is bringing in.

Oh so now stats aren't everything?

Funny how they were when you were trying to say the Colts defense wasn't trash.
