Powermizzou was actually smarter about it than the rest of the idiots.
The only guy to call Painter a done deal was Bernie Miklasz, who I will despise until he dies for his conduct during that whole ordeal. Powermizzou, OTOH, was trying to urge people to settle down and wait for the bullets to stop flying. In fact, I think they were the first folks to really start raining on the parade. Powermizzou is a good little spot for info; much better than the national guys and the hacks at the Post Disgrace.

No one's being hostile. We just don't like it when MU fans come in here and start posting rumors with no evidence to support their claims. It's been happening for years on a variety of topics and it's tired. We get it. People don't like KU. KU doesn't care. Just stop posting lies here and then running off without backing it up. It's freaking comical. |

If there were evidence, it would not be a rumor you ****ing idiot. Is it really that shocking a football recruit wanted to play for Mizzou or anywhere else instead of the worst major conference football program in the country? 95% of ku football players wish they played for Mizzou. This isn't a surprising revelation. |

February 1, 2009 Terry mulls offer on Junior Day Pete Scantlebury PowerMizzou.com Blue Springs' Keeston Terry came to Missouri's Junior Day with an offer already on the table. Did the wide receiver leave Columbia with a commitment? PowerMizzou.com talked to Terry to find out more about his visit. |

Also there are different types of offers. For example a "hey we'll take you now" offer and a "you have an offer if Options A, B, and C at your position fall through". |

The widely held notion has been....that he had an offer and a time period. Mizzou signed some other guys he came back and wanted in but the time period and the other with it had passed. Then he went to Kansas.
Believe what you will folks. That is the thing that has been said (at least by me) and others most the time. It isn't that he is shit or we didn't offer anything. It is that he slow played it too much...ran out of time and when we wanted to pull the trigger the whole thing was off the table. |

And it was KK that fueled the idiocy on the B1G fiasco. I don't recall exactly how PM handled it, but DeArmond was generally pretty matter of fact with his reporting and has always done a good job of making clear what is just speculation on his part. If Gabe doesn't have it, he just shuts up. PM doesn't shotgun information out there and hit on 70% of it. They tend to be much more conservative in what they report and hit on a far greater percentage of it. Gabe isn't always the first guy to be on a story, but he and Dave Matter are usually the guys with the most reliable information.
