It's a challenge. We match up well with them in a lot of ways. This is going to be one of the coolest games we've had in a long time and it's gonna come down to Mahomes' ability to dissect the Mike Macdonald plan. He's very Spags-like in devising his game-specific schemes and he's going to try to confuse Mahomes. Spags is going to try to confuse Jackson. We know who will have the advantage there all else equal based on processing ability alone.

I hope our LBers are ready to step up. (We...need...Willie...Gay)
I feel if it goes down to the wire it’s ours. I don’t see Lamar beating Mahomes in a close one; if they win it will be by double digits.

Those are the two scenarios

You're realistic. I think we both are. The Ravens are ****ing good. In most every facet of the game. We're not going to smack them into the ground in submission. It's the Ravens win by a lot, a little, or the Chiefs win by a little. I don't see the path to pure domination.
I agree that it is ridiculous, not to mention annoying. That being said, it could be a bit of the “I can call my brother an asshole but nobody else can” dynamic at play there. And that I can understand and somewhat forgive the hypocrisy.

I think that was by design. Josh can beat you with his arm. But forced to marticulate the ball down the field and he is error prone. Spags took away all explosive plays and made them earn every yard.

That wont be the gameplan against the Ravens because that is EXACTLY how they want to run their offense.

I am however more worried about Balt d than Bills

That was once in 4 games and against a defense that was in the middle of a HISTORICALLY BAD stretch of defensive football. Chiefs defense gave up 29, 36, 30, 30 and 38. Everyone shredded that defense.

Easier said than done to get that type of lead against Baltimore. If they lose, it will probably be a close enough game that they continue running their normal offense for all 4 quarters.

You do understand that this also takes into account in games he was down. Like when they beat the Chiefs the last time.

Yeah, it's a strange feeling.

IMO, it's either the Ravens win by a little or the Chiefs win by a little. In their losses to the Bills and Eagles, and Lions earlier in the season, it wasn't just one or two mistakes, there were a lot of issues; and they still should have won each of those games, and still kept it close. It wasn't 'play a flawless game and win', it was 'clean up a few of the 20 mistakes you made and win'.

Is it possible some of the regular season issues come up, or even all of them? Sure. But, even when it happened in the playoffs before against the Bengals, it took a ton of missed chances and ****s up to only lose in OT.

I'd just think if the Ravens lose by a lot, it means the wheels fell off... not sure I'd give it a much higher chance than it happening to the Ravens.

Can't wait. Should be one of the coolest games on the 2nd biggest stage. Excited to see what Spags will cook up to confuse Jackson. Bring our trophy home! My prediction is that the Chiefs' are going to lean on the run game and #10. Ravens' run defense vs. gap runs might be the closest thing they have to a "weakness." Also, Chiefs are going to want to keep the Ravens' offense off the field...and Allegretti is better as a run blocker than a pass blocker. (Unlike Thuney, who's better at pass blocking.)

BUT... I trust in Andy! If Mahomes goes off with a big passing game, I'm down. Andy knows best. A win is a win.

I disagree. Mainly because I don't believe the ravens defense is some immovable force. I think their success against playaction oriented teams (Detriot/SF/MIAMI) or more a matter of "styles make fights". Ravens bet the Rams and 9ers in 2019 too. Blew out the rams 45-6. Harbaugh knows how to defend those offenses.
