Honestly the best thing he could do is come out with what he is looking for salary wise. I am not talking exact amount with years, but at least ballpark. Take the initiative and state what Baltimore offered vs what he is looking for. Doing that could help clear his name. The impression is that he is being selfish and unreasonable in his demands which makes accusations that he sat out on purpose more believable even if untrue.

Atlanta not in on Lamar puzzles me.
The QB they drafted last year is crap, not a legit starter. Their head coach runs an offense that could make Lamar work. |

Two first round draft picks are scaring away a lot of suitors. Jackson is not nine figure guaranteed money and two firsts good. I genuinely would have liked to see his market without the tag. That would have been the best gauge of his value ala Orlando Brown Jr.

He should hire an actual agent because he sucks at it. He's not making himself $$$. |

I think he can be a quality NFL quarterback. Essentially a mobile Carr. I think they're smart to give him a shot. They're not a real contender even with Jackson and the growing pains associated with Ridder learning the NFL ropes will allow them to continue drafting potential impact players. They're playing a long game here and I think it's the right decision.

1) You’re comparing Lamar to Patrick ****ing Mahomes. You simply cannot compare any QB to Patrick Mahomes in a fair and just world. 2) You’re comparing an ankle injury to a knee injury. Even if Mahomes was “more injured” than Lamar at that point, the risk of further injury for an ankle sprain and a knee sprain are just not in the same ball park of severity. Had things gone left and taken a turn for the worst, Mahomes would still have 100% chance of being ready for the 2023 season. If things went South for Lamar, a major knee injury could have resulted in him being unable to start his 2023 season on schedule. Quote:
He also addressed this a bit recently:
Obviously he could be lying, but it sounds like he would have played had he felt like he was close enough to 100%. None of us know about how his injury affected his ability. He knows far better than anyone here. |

He was initially supposed to be out like 3-4 weeks.
The playoff game made it 6. I don't think that it a a coincidence either the the second the injury reported, people were immediately speculating/saying that Lamar would/should just sit the rest of the season out. As a business decision, I guess you could say it makes sense. I think he definitely plays if he has his deal, and that's why it rubs be the wrong way. As for the comaprison, I don't doubt that he wasn't quite 100%, but I think he was MUCH closer than Pat was. That's my point. |

What I think he needs first is an agent. At this point in the process, an agent would be leaking nothing but positive news about Lamar to the media to report. He has no agent so he’s getting no positive press, which hurts in the public eye. On top of that, his constant Twitter fights don’t help. A smart agent would have that cleared up quickly. He’s only giving people more ammunition to hate him. So he’s got to lay off of Twitter. And, ultimately, he will need to come down on his asking price. He is not likely to get a fully guaranteed contract around 5 years for $250 million like what is being reported. He could probably get more than the $139m guaranteed that the Ravens reportedly offered last offseason so I think whatever deal he signs will fall somewhere in that range. |

Little bit, yeah.
Lamar had himself some Hobo Spirit. Now the counterargument would be that when Berry finally felt up to a return, he got ****ing vivisected in a playoff game so maybe coming back wasn't the best idea afterall...
