If Missouri can pass the funding in the special session the Chiefs want a 1/4th sales tax on the November ballot.

If that Missouri bill passes you'll hear details about the Royals & Washington Square Park. If the special session fails you'll hear about the Royals to Overland Park almost over night

Yup I don't think its a bad alternative if the Royals leave KC. I prefer the Washington Square Park location though that's a 20 min walk for me

I still think one team will go to Kansas, one will stay in Missouri. Chiefs to the Legends and Royals at Washington Square makes the most sense, which means it probably won't happen.

There is plenty of space for a stadium and parking on the land itself. What there absolutely is not is space to get traffic in and out. There’s tons of lights, not a lot of varying options to get there, and it’s already a very busy area that simply couldn’t handle thousands of extra cars. People would be backed up on the exits off I-435 or they’d be waiting to get in the parking lot all the way back to 135th and Nall. It would be neat to have it closer but I just can’t see how it would actually work.

I’m not optimistic Missouri will get that done.

They’re talking about re-assigning who is carrying the issue, and there is a lot of options.

The ultra conservative wing of the Republican Party in MO is a tough sell on this. And the D side of the house is playing hardball as a result of the previous question nonsense the R pulled to get their abortion do-over through without a filibuster.

R are surprised that D are now playing hardball. I guess they just expected them to take that lying down.
