Didn't see anybody starting this thread so I guess I will.

Anti climatic season starts tonight and my prediction is GS vs Boston in the NBA Finals.




First 2 Games tonight on TNT with Philly vs Boston and OKC vs GS. Westbrook is out tonight so that game will be a blowout most likely.

I don’t get Butler wanting to go to Miami outside of money. They probably won’t even make the playoffs and just sent Dragic to Dallas

If Klay signs with the Lakers, Pelinka should be immediately fired. That team has a two year window with LeBron, and Klay wouldn't be at full strength until year two. That also means that they could have just signed Davis straight up in "year two" rather than trading an ungodly amount of assets for him.

Imagine if everyone knew that Mike Trout was opting out and was going to the Yankees, only the Yankees were 25 games back. Yet, instead of waiting to sign him in FA, the Yankees traded away their entire system to get two extra months of him in a totally lost season. It would be an unimaginably stupid move.

I'd rather have three years of Kawhi or another similar top-tier, healthy guy. Post-30 Klay, Kuzma, and Davis ain't gonna be enough on a team with absolutely no draft assets for years. All the other players they would get would be one-year vet minimums and MLE types. Not enough to fill out a roster w/o a third guy.

For example, while Klay is better than Kemba and D'Angelo Russell, two years of those guys in LeBron's mid-30's is/was worth more than one year of Klay.
