Just got a blind from vevor with coupons it shipped for around 79$. Really happy with it.

But I came her to say one thumbs up and I’ll take Wednesday off to hunt all day.

Shot a decent for the area 8 last night with my rifle. My son shot a doe with his crossbow down in the blind with my dad. We tracked her 200 yards blood quit, found about 20” of guts along the way. Backed out and we t back this morning. We were blessed to recover his first deer a good size doe. He ended up putting a good shot. One lung and exited through the guts. Proud of him for an 11 year old. He was extremely patient and waited for the biggest does to get broadside and she ended up quartering towards slightly.

Selfishly mad we didn’t recover his to get a double up picture of a memory that will last a life time. But it had rained and I was worried about losing blood on mine. All worked out though. Both shot quartering toward slightly. His crossbow passed through and my 30.06 didn’t. I’ve never seen that. Instead of exiting it broke a rib on the far side pushing it almost through the skin. He filled up with blood and left a pretty meager trail. My dad’s dog picked up the trail for us when he hit the timber. Amazing what animals can smell.

Last week of Eastern Kansas pheasant hunt season. Actually saw more birds out here than I've seen in a very long time. We kicked up a group of pheasant today that was at least 40 strong in one field.

I have always attached photos with my phone but now evidently Tapatalk will not allow that unless you are paying for the Plus version.
