Kent Babb: shakatak, I think you're stuck with him for a while. The bottom line of this thing is that Pioli makes the Hunt family a lot of money. I mean, a lot. And the Hunts look at this not just from a team loyalty standpoint but also as a company. That's understandable, because it's true. But, man, Pioli knows have to save/make money, and that gives him a cushion. Plus, Clark wants people to hang around for a long time. That doesn't make it right, in this case.

There has been no progress to growth in this season & in many ways the team continues to regress not get better. Clark Hunt would be a stupid stupid man to keep Pioli and a bad buisness man to boot.
Pioli knows how to control costs. This has a lot more to do with the business side than it does the salary cap.

Mark Donovan does all that stuff. So Clark Hunt needs to wise up and realize he can still be a cheapskate in the business operations, still hire a GM who is conservative in spending, and fire the doofus who is costing the team a shitload of revenue.
