Average is much better than what we saw at the SB this year.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

They literally just replaced him for peanuts. All reports were that they were going to let him walk and they did.

What does that tell you?

That they still offered him a deal and tried to get him back. But yeah, they're clearly over him.

And the Bucs DT's pushing right up the field. Reiter was an issue all year.

How do you know that the Chiefs officially offered him a deal?

The only reason there was rumored interest is because the Chiefs missed out on Hudson and other Cs.

The early reports were that they had little to no interest in re-signing him and in the end they still didn’t go with him.

But they clearly wanted him back bad, right?

Not a single person on the line had a good game.

Pressure came consistently from everywhere including up the middle...

Ok cool. And they signed somebody before he made any official decision on where he’s going.

What does that, along with the fact that their initial plan was to let him walk, tell you about how bad they wanted him back?

No man there was a report that vaguely said something about an offer, so let’s ignore all evidence to the contrary that they clearly preferred to make a change at C!!!
