Who's the ONE guy that you just want in this draft?

Not like in the first round necessarily, just like...the guy you want.

For me, It's Rachaad White. The more I watch, the more I just think this kid is a perfect fit for KC, and could be had with our Poole pick most likely.

Just because he came back and wasn't that great in his first couple of games back....doesn't mean anything when it comes to Ojabo.

I'm drafting Ojabo to sit him for his entire rookie year.

Nah, get your 2 high upside guys with 5th year options and be done with it.

I have to say though, Williams is a guy that’s getting zero 1st round buzz. Literally zero.

That’s why I don’t even consider him despite being a big fan that would be happy with the pick.

Now at 50? Then I can see us taking Williams.

Truth be told, may be able to get Sam I Am at 50, but I wouldn’t take the chance personally.

There are always guys that sneak in as it gets closer to the draft. I wouldn't be surprised if Williams is the pick at 29 or 30.

Why would you do that when you can just draft Sam Williams? You’re losing a year and have no clue how he comes back after that?

I wouldn’t spend a top 50 pick on that

Oh, I wouldn’t be surprised either, but with the off the field stuff and the lack of 1st round buzz, it still seems very unlikely.

Because you have a shot at a top 20 talent at the end of the first round? Because we need more than one DE moving forward after this season?

How much of Akers looking rusty is because he came back way earlier than everyone thought?

This is why:

He was arrested in July of 2020 for alleged sexual battery and suspended from the team. He would be reinstated when the charges were dropped. Since then he seems to have kept himself out of trouble, but it is something that will hurt his draft stock with some teams, not the Chiefs though.
IDGAF. Charges dropped. We good!

The chances of him not being able to come back from that injury long term are very slim and he’s a top 15 talent.

You aren’t going to get guys like that unless you’re willing to take some risk.

Again, I know we all love Williams, but I don’t think he’s a very realistic pick there. It sounds great, but I don’t think it’s in the cards.

But if we’re going to dream, why not both?

IDGAF either.

That’s irrelevant though.

The teams do, and he appears to firmly be a 2nd rounder because of it.

I do think he can come back in October though. He had surgery in mid January and already said he was ahead of schedule.

George Pickens came back after 8 months and looked normal at 10 months against Bama. ACL injuries used to be closer to 12 months on the 9-12 month timeline but I think modern medicine has pushed that to now be closer to 9 months standard

According to who? Off field issues aside, where does Williams rank among the rest of the DE's
