Earl Thomas a longshot to be a Chief

They just said on ESPN we were on the list of teams that he could be dealt to.

Probably, but he looks like a hobo and it's not like he's wearing his Seahawks jersey or "SIGN ME CHIEFS" sandwich board. I wouldn't put any stock in no pictures being taken. But then I wouldn't put any stock in any of these dumbass tweets and emails from sociopaths who live fantasy lives on the internet.

Those two guys were basically rentals to get us over the hump and it worked out great. ET would need an extension, meaning we would be stuck with him until retirement age-lol

And then you have Berry with a bum heal hogging cap space. Chiefs would be allocating a Lot of resources to the Safty position. And don't forget Sorensen, who the should have cut getting. Better hope ET stays healthy, that would be a boatload of cap space sitting on the bench.

No hyperbole.

This offense is good enough to win a Super Bowl.

Right now, the defense is dangerously close to the line between "can" and "can't".

Earl Thomas moves the needle SIGNIFICANTLY into the "can" area.

There are certainly no guarantees, regardless of whether or not it gets done. But you simply can't deny the impact it could potentially have.

Right.

KC, with Thomas and Berry, goes from a bottom 3 safety duo to probably #1.

And when you’re constantly playing with leads, that’s huge.

It sure would suck to be "stuck" with the best safety in football...

I'm alright if that's the price, a 2nd and a 5th.
There are some things you can take off the books next year to make it work. Thomas' abilities would probably age well. And while I think Berry's a tremendous player when healthy and an excellent human, at some point he's got to play or you cut him.

Yup and alot of people are getting their hopes up. Also the NFL isn't MLB, very rarely do mid-season trades work out that year.

Your draft picks in 2019 in that situation:

1st
3rd
6th
7th

That's it.

Theres no guarantees when you're dealing with a single elimination playoff. I've seen KU lose to Northern Iowa, MU lose to whoever in the first round and crazy shit.

Stack the deck with the best odds and go from there.

htis and I may disagree about how to go about that over the long haul, but Earl Thomas def increases your odds. He's a really ****ing good football player.
