People complaining about SGA getting calls and Ant didnt. Drive to the fkn hoop Ant! You are the most athletic player in the league but you want to increasingly shoot deep pull up Js and 3s.

This. I mean I don’t like all the calls but I don’t know how anyone can see the other side chucking 200 threes and thinking that’s better basketball. We all know ant is crazy talented enough and has the star power to get these calls.

I don’t have a dog in the fight since I kinda like both of these teams. But I’m more than happy to see an offense get rewarded for slashing again.

Mickey Mantle suffered from the same fate. He deserved nearly every season but they clearly couldn't give it to him every time.

If the Knicks don’t win this series, we are looking at the lowest rated Finals ever.

Its sad this narrative has taken a life of its own. It is similar to how every fan claimed the NBA sucked for decades yet didn't watch it or know why they felt that way.

You ask people why they don't like the NBA they give you the following reasons:

They shoot too many 3s. OKC and Shai relentlessly drive at the basket and do not rely on the 3.

Nobody plays defense. OKC has the best defense in almost 25 years.

They are overly political. I haven't heard one Thunder player say anything political one way or another.

The midrange is dead. SGA shot one of the highest percentages from midrange on volume in NBA history.

The NBA isn't physical. OKC plays the one of the most swarming physical brands of defense that there is.

Teams don't even try hard and players are selfish. OKC has a college-like atmosphere. They do interviews together. Commercials together. They play harder and faster than anyone else.

Its like talking to a wall. The OKC Thunder gave people exactly what they've been asking for an now people say they don't like them. People are very easily manipulated and taught to think by social and societal narratives. It used to surprise me. Cant say I am surprised anymore.

All bullshit reasons, yes. What people want is greatness and SGA/the Thunder don’t represent that yet. LeBron and Steph still do.
