I don't think he would be the best option, but would be a smart move for program stability as it seems the candidate pool is weak.

Odom will take the Memphis job.

Fuente would of been the best move, but he has the VT job.

I'd guess it will be a mid-major guy and they will keep Odom's number on file depending how new guy is and Odom is at Memphis.

It could work out like that. But I'm not convinced Odom is viewed as a lesser hire than Campbell, Rhule, etc.

Hard to know what one dude is thinking, but I'd think having experience running a program carries a lot of weight.

Campbell is going to Iowa State, so he can be crossed off the list.

Odom is a good DC and I'm sure is well liked and a true son and all that good shit, but it's not easy being a first time head coach in the SEC and I wonder how much of Pinkel's system he figured out in a year.
