Actually McCluster facing the team with Pat Willis is a scary thought.

Really Alex Smith should at the very least be average with what's around him, the talent is there so we'll see how he does.

That team is far ahead of the Chiefs, they could beat the Chiefs handing off up the middle every play. Also with the passes Cassel throws with Pat Willis roaming that could be ugly...
So SF built a team exactly the way you have repeatedly said you wouldn't (OL, TE etc...) with the exception of the #1 pick being on a QB (a bad one at that) and yet SF is still miles ahead of KC?

They basically spent 1 draft pick the way you "would do it" on a QB who is the weak link of the team. They spent 4 1st rounders on OL and TE which if the Chiefs had done you would be screaming ratart at the top of your lungs.

So either you are wrong, or you are wrong.

I know Jackson's not going to be great, but I think he can be increasingly consistently in the right place this season.

As much shit as the D-line has gotten, in the last 2 games, they didn't make a lot of mental mistakes. And that's despite the fact that Romeo hasn't been aggressive with the blitzes. Most of our sacks/hurries the past two games, between Vrabel, Demorrio, Arenas, and even Studebaker were the result of LBs running through enormous holes, which is what our D-line is supposed to be doing.

So the D-linemen are supposed to be "opening holes up front"?

Seriously? You're counting on a 5'9" nickleback to help our pass rush? Gimmick much?

If they chose defense, they would have ignored a shitty offense. If they chose offense, which they did, they would have ignored a shitty defense.

We were going to suck on one side of the ball no matter what our strategy.
We had the 23rd ranked scoring offense and the 30th ranked scoring defense to go with the 2nd worst run defense and 2nd worst pass rush in the league. Perhaps oversimplification would be a good thing.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you predicting that record. If it gives you hope and makes you attend/watch a game, then it is a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I think your absolutely f-ing nuts and we'll be lucky to finish 6 & 10.
For the life of me I can't figure out why I watch a game I think they'll lose, I shouldn't waste the time but I do.

Based on what I have seen in the off season we have nowhere to go but up especially with a soft division and schedule. My take 6 & 10. Just need to show that we can close out a game or two more than we did last year.

Javier Arenas is a terrific blitzer. He had 5 sacks in 13 games last year and now plays for a coordinator that likes to blitz corners.

Also, one of our major weaknesses last year was the slot guy. It allowed quarterbacks to get out of trouble quite often. Whether it be Richardson, Leggett, Washington or Travis Daniels...they got burnt consistently. Arenas should be solid in that role. If the slot guy was covered in even 1/3 of those third and longs, our defense gets off the field that much more and it gives guys like Hali and Studebaker more time to close on the quarterback and eventually gives the defense more time to rest.

He is also an exciting returner and should help put some butts in the seats, taking us one step closer to getting our home field advantage back and most knowledgeable fans understand how much that also helps the pass rush and the defense overall.

So, call it what you will, but the guy will indeed help the pass rush both directly and indirectly.

All they've done is set themselves up to lose in the playoffs and they're better than the shit hole teams. Being light years ahead of the Chiefs means I owned myself eh, well I guess some don't realize the Chiefs are a shithole team.

The 49ers have built to the team that loses in the playoffs to the teams with QB's.

With that team it's one or the other do you let Gore throw up 150+ yards on you or do you come up in the box and get beat by Davis...this doesn't even factor in that Crabtree who looked far better than I thought he would as a rookie has a full training camp and all that.

I like th 49ers to be an easy playoff team this year.

The point was taking a QB number 1 overall goes against everything that you've pegged as "True Fan"

BTW That "shithole team" just put a hurtin on the team they are lightyears behind
