That old snatch, Mother Nature, seems to be pissed off around here again as well. I looks like we're in for it, at least for the next few days.

Today: Snow. Steady temperature around 10. Wind chill values as low as -5. Northeast wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of around 2 inches.

Tonight: Snow. Low around -4. Wind chill values as low as -20. Northeast wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around 1 inch.

Monday: A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy and cold, with a steady temperature around -2. Wind chill values as low as -20. North northeast wind between 10 and 14 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around -17. Wind chill values as low as -35. Northeast wind around 9 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 4. South southwest wind between 3 and 6 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a steady temperature around 1.

If anything just expect Ice and roughy 6 inches, but its capable of a lot more if this verifies.

I think that's right... every weather person I've seen on facebook and twitter is talking about this system. Don't know if it'll be quite that bad but it's apparently a beast. I guess one of the computer models this morning said on it's current forecast track, Chicago would get 38 inches of snow.

Probability of greater than 12 inches, is 10% for KC 40% for parts of MO.

its trending to a big event. Like i said, wouldnt be surprised with a 4-12 range in the metro proper with bigger amounts to the East.

So the In-Laws have been with us down here in SA the past few weeks....they were supposed to leave tommorow but just bumped up their flight to tonight to avoid this.

70 and Sunny here today...

Supposed to be 20's and Cold when they land in KC tonight around 10.

Needless to say, they are not very happy right now...

CONDITIONS TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY. VISIBILITIES NEAR ZERO
WITH 4 TO 8 FOOT DRIFTS.

NWS in Springfield says we could have a repeat of 2002 when we recieved 12″ to 16″ of snow and 1/4″ to 3/4″ of ICE. Right now they are forecasting 6 to 12 S of I-44 and 8 to 14 N of I-44, w/ice accum. of .25 to .75.
