Alex Smith: Chief's aren't running a "Cookie-cutter" offense

Q? FO!

From NFLNetwork byline:

QB Alex Smith tells NFL Total Access that Chiefs aren't running "cookie-cutter" offense and it isn't the same as what coach Andy Reid ran with Eagles and Packers. Catch the entire interview tonight at 7PM ET on NFL Total Access.

39 seconds in.....of course, I have pointed this out to you on several occasions, but you completely ignore it, because it destroys your notion that Alex Smith cant throw deep.....
I know this is only a highlights video, but if he can bring this stuff to the table on a weekly basis, we are going to win a lot of games.

BTW, in Alex Smith's interview last night on Total Access, it sounded as if Smith is going to be in camp on Monday.

Since the draft is now basically slotted, I really hope Fisher can be signed, sealed, and delivered on Monday as well.

I know most of you don't give a damn, but I do. I want this team to succeed right from the get go.

Ryan may not be elite as far as play offs go, but as a QB in general, his mechanics are flawless.

I think the argument is ironic.

Alex lacks what Ryan has and Ryan lacks what Alex has.

Their only common point is the inability to get over the hump...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

that's all I have ever said. Alex isn't going to make mistakes. He is a far better passer than Clay, and alex haters want anyone to believe. Oh, and Clay. The pass to Kyle Williams against the bills, was DESIGNED that way. Its called back shouldering. And unless you have a Brett Favre arm, no one throws lobs that well at CANDLESTICK. Its the windiest stadium in the league besides Soldier field. Don't worry boss. Im on your side, even if you cant figure out what side you are supposed to be on.

true but Ryan isn't a good passer on the run, which is the defining characteristic especially in today's NFL. Alex Smith has this much going for him -- he throws well on the run. It's a huge part of Rodgers' game, Brees too.

He didn't turn the ball over, and gave his team a chance to win. But you go ahead, you keep focusing on that completion percentage. Don't let the fact that his number two and three receiver and four receiver to start the season wasn't there. But don't let that bother you. A bottom of the barrel receiving corps should be able to do what the falcons, packers, and Patriots couldn't do against the giants that post season right? But somehow Alex Smith had the highest rating among all qbs against the giants in that post season....

But please, tell me how important that completion percentage was in the grand scheme of things.

Alex Smiths receiving targets in the NFCCG.

Vernon Davis,
Delanie Walker who came back early from a broken jaw.
Michael Crabtree, who couldn't break single coverage to save his life in that game.
Brett Swain,
Kyle Williams,
Joe Hastings.

STUDS!!!!!!

Smith has done it several times, usually to Vernon Davis. Neither of them throws very hard or flat on such passes. Watch that vs. Flacco and you see Dalton has a noodle arm.

Nice QB otherwise. The entire 49ers FO wanted Dalton over Kaepernick, but the GM let Harbaugh have his favorite guy.

It is more unwillingness than inability as to why Smith goes deep so rarely.

Some of that has to do with Who he was throwing to don't you think? The only true deep threat we had last year besides Vernon, was Kyle Williams. I don't consider Crabtree a deep threat, and Randy Moss certainly is not a deep threat anymore. Good to see you Kaep, how ya been?

How much cherry picking are we going to do here? You can't say 46% without saying he threw 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. When your team is having success on the ground why would he be airing it you? His yards per snap on passing downs was still higher than Manning's. He didn't play a perfect statistical game, but he accounted for 14 of 17 points and got to overtime in the NFC championship. His team goes to the super bowl if not for two special teams turnovers.

You can't win in spite of a QB all the way to within a fumble of the super bowl. The NFL doesn't work that way.

You get really mad when I talk shit on your precious boo boo QB.

It's going to be enjoyable watching you be destroyed.

After this season you will never again post here.
