I think they draft starters for the defense, and developmental players at the skill offensive positions. More bang for the buck in the short term on defense.

Wouldnt surprise me if they trade back at 31 if they think they can get the player later. Never underestimate BV on the draft day waltz

Nah, then you lose that 5th year of control. Pick him in the first if he’s the guy you want.

I like it!
**** it. I’m in. I’m all for arming Spags and Cullen with eagles/9er style rushers.

If our D continues to gel as last years draft class grows, we won’t be seeing anything like the 2018 offense for at least 5 years. I think this is the year to infuse the next group into the offense like they did the defense last year.
Are we getting 2018 Dhop and OBJ?

Ngokue, ominihu, jones, Karlaftis
Gay/tranquil
Mcduffie/Watson/Williams/sneed/ Reid/cook/Edwards

I was t advocating for them. Just saying people want to see the 2018 offense and that’s why they want these fading stars.

If the guy becomes a star, you would probably want to extend him after year 3 anyway. Not that Veach has a record of doing that with anyone not named Mahomes. But he said a few years ago that he wanted to do that. Unfortunately, he didn't extend a single 2019 pick after year 3 and let them walk after year 4. So maybe getting that 5th year option is the best play.

Constantly talking about WRs... sick of talking about WRs. Let's talk about a bigger problem than having a 1, 2, and 10m WR on the roster.

Let's talk about DT because just what in the **** is Veach's plan?

Wharton is limited. He's not that great of a pass rusher, really, and that's his calling card as he can't really hold up as an every-down DT.

Shelton didn't play a snap last year and didn't look great the last season he did play. Zero hope there.

Nnadi looked like absolute shit all season last year. Not bad because he was injured or something, but bad because often he looked like he had no clue wtf he was doing and was completely taking himself out of plays.

That's a who's who of shit.

It seems like Veach needs to spend multiple draft picks on the position, but even then I feel like it's simply not enough.

We need a legitimate veteran next to Jones with a couple of rookies in behind them IMO.

And then, what is the plan with Jones? He's in the final year of his deal and not even a peep about an extension.

The cupboard is bare folks.

Yeah, it seems like we're all looking right past the biggest hole and the most likely pick early in the draft.

DT is dire at the moment, but there's some pluggers still out there. Covington or Hankins would help

Wharton had shown more flashes than Saunders before his injury.
Shelton is an unknown that people were happy about. Was he also injured?
Nnadi is a run stuffer that has gotten a few sacks.
Omenihu is a dual threat on the DL. He can be a very solid producing DT
Jones will get his new deal after the draft prior to TC.
We are very likely to draft a DT.
