Can't believe the regular season starts tonight. Just seemed like the Finals ended a couple weeks ago.

What Ham has done with this team is pretty great and he’s not getting enough credit. That Lonnie Walker game should be put squarely on Ham’s shoulders. What a coaching decision that ultimately won them the series.
Par for the course, you should read what he says in the Chiefs game threads it is worse. I believe he said a couple of times they weren't going to win anything, he is on Pete's level. Then he wonders why he gets booted from them.

And where is all the young talent? I probably haven't watched 1 game on the playoffs thus year but it's the same names of guys who are now old aases. LeBron, Durant, Curry, Harden, Tatum is young but Jokic and Embid almost 30 now.

Wait? MJ was playing Detoit with that shitty roster the Bulls had he was drafted into. I think every playoff game Lebron had with Curry was with one of his hand made super teams, yes? Or am I mistaken?

Steph and Lebron won their first at 27. MJ at 28. It’s extremely hard for younger guys to win the ship while being the top guy on their team

I’m sure a big factor is because they are drafted by terrible franchises and it’s hard to turn around an nba roster in a single off season

Receipts please? I literally say every season they can win with whatever roster they put on the field because they have the best football player who has ever lived by a mile, so now I know you’re making shit up.

I’ve been booted from one game thread in 17 years here by a Mizzou fan for shitting on Spags putting Karlaftis in coverage (which directly led to a touchdown and which half the board also shit on him for). The Mizzou fan later made up a lie (sort of like what you’re doing right now) that I actually criticized Andy Reid and that was the reason for doing the boot. Try again.

I was wrong. That comment was about a very different team that the one that LeBron/Pelinka have now constructed. But let’s be real, nobody else here saw the Lakers in the WCF either a few months ago so you can’t be shitting on me too hard for this one.

What I was right about though was that Westbrook was absolutely destroying that team from the moment he was acquired.

But they won the chip last season so this was going to be tough to repeat anyway. Just like the Chiefs if they don't win this year it is all gravy at this point.

As far as WCF goes, I think this will be a quick series for Denver. It might go 5 or 6 but it will essentially be over at 5. I just jinxed them so they will probably lose
Curry did not show up, not really, which is par for the course for him in his career in a big game (particularly a big game against LeBron). He was also getting completely shut down by Dennis Schroder before Schroder got ejected for having a ball pushed into his face. At one point in yesterday’s game he was shooting 2 for 13 for three. The Lakers completely turned him this series into a volume scorer. And let’s please never forget his hilarious game 4 choke job at the end of the game.

If the Warriors plan to ever win another title, it appears their core three is going to have to cry again for a Durant level player to join them because they certainly aren’t going to do it on the strength of their own games anymore. Klay is looking more washed than ever and Draymond can’t maintain his unhinged intensity as consistently any longer.

Curry showed up, the rest of the team flat out did not. The Warriors were a flawed team that couldn't depend on its bench during the season, Lebron was carried by his bench and AD against the Warriors.

Does this look carried to you? Best player on the floor in the biggest game of the series and just an absolutely dominant and unprecedented performance from someone of his age. Never take his greatness for granted.

You see so many old guys who feel like they’ve been just hanging on for years now…then you see LeBron do shit like this and realize he’s around the same age if not older than those guys.

Just ridiculous.

Like a guy like Jeff Green, right? I'm always amazed to see he's still playing whenever I do see him, but LeBron has been in the league like 5 years longer than him.

LeBron will be the oldest player in the league once Haslem/Iggy retire (which should be shortly, they aren't really active players any longer, particularly Haslem). The next closest guys are CP3, Tucker, and Lowry.

Haslem was effectively done at 35 when he was 3 years younger than LeBron is now.
