Now, you can debate as to if that is why the Chiefs aren't contenders year in and year out - because the organization is more concerned with "character guys" than guys that can actually go win you games, but it was apparent that Marcus' future in KC was in jeopardy after they suspended him. To me, at least.

Here’s the deal: the Chiefs were embarrassed by Peters after the Oakland game there. When he rode the bus with Lynch and took his own flight home without the Chiefs’ knowledge.

He was gone then.

The guy is just a shit bag.

I wonder if the delay is that the terms are dependent on the Rams getting an extension done with Peters?

Or are the Chiefs getting a player back and trying to get something done there?

Huh, I hadn't heard that about that tidbit about him after the away Oakland game. That's sort of shocking, actually.

Again, it sucks losing a player of his obvious caliber on the field, but he just sounds like a headache of a teammate and employee.
