Unfortunately, I think that you all were just hoodwinked by hope and devious ownership. Glass and Moore wanted to keep fans somewhat interested (former) and keep his job (latter), and I think that they've overblown players like Hosmer and Moustakas into potential All Stars in order to sate the fanbase.

Man, and to think I was actually looking forward to this season. I should've known better...

It makes me sad to gaze upon the autographed George Brett and Bret Saberhagen photos adorning the wall of my mancave, remnants of a bygone era the likes of which I fear I'll never witness again in my lifetime. I was too young to really understand what was going on in '85, but I'd kill for even an ounce of the satisfaction that must have brought to KC fandom. Now I just hope the team will be kinda sorta somewhat competitive. And they're not. At all. They're anti-competitive.

Maybe it has to do with attitude, but I think a bigger portion of it is that they just aren't that good and they've been overrated.

Allen Craig tore the cover off the ball at every level he played at, but he wasn't hyped 1/50th as much as those two guys. Same thing with Matt Adams.

Maybe part of the blame lies with Moore and guys like Rany and Rob Neyer.
