@TerezPaylor: The Chiefs have spent the last three weeks on this deal, and only the Rams and 49ers were interested, a source tells me. Multiple sources also tell me the Browns were NOT interested

Early impressions: not a fan. Veach better have been absolutely CERTAIN Peters wasn't going to re-sign. At the moment, the team just got much worse for next season.

Not a fan of the move, but I kinda get it. However if it is for just the 23rd overall and a fifth rounder then it wasn't worth it IMO. Needs to be a first and a third IMO, that second pick should be higher if its a pick next year.

Makes the Chiefs buyers in free agency for a CB in my book. Maybe there is someone they really like. I don't know. The thing I love about Peters is that he gets turnovers, which is the most important thing a defense needs to do.

Bummer.

Houston was drafted 7 years ago, and if I had a choice between Hill or Peters being off this team, then you would see what we are now.
