Literally my dream offseason so far, besides getting rid of Houston, but Im glad we didnt keep Ford and let Houston go. I dont give a shit if we got a pick next year. Its going to be a high 2nd probably in the top 10. Now lets get rid of that bitch Berry.

Call the trade a comp pick if you want (it's not even close, because it's an early/mid 2nd, not an extreme late 3rd at best, but whatever) but to insist we should have just kept him for a year then taken a comp pick later is just as shortsighted when we're not free to spend $15 million this year without losing any draft compensation for getting rid of Ford.

You wanted something to happen this year? Then make a deal using that 2020 2nd rounder in the draft this year. Jesus. It's not hard.

Quit being so short sighted. Chiefs are not done yet. We have upgraded the secondary and now have cap space to work with. We have four picks in the top 100. Sign a good free agent corner, draft good defensive talent with two to three of those picks, and this defense jumps up 15 spots next year.

That had everything to do with scheme. KC should have been pressing but they NE WR's free releases and paid dearly for it. It's easier to mask defencies in the secondary with a strong pass rush than it is to mask a bad pass rush with a good secondary.

Rushing the passer is the MOST VALUABLE thing a defense can do. It's why the highest paid defensive player ALL RUSH THE PASSER!

I would have rather paid Ford than signed Mathieu...

As most predicted on here they are essentially a year late. This all should have been done after the Colts playoff loss on the defensive side. But they doubled down. Now they are here and are saying it was BOTH the coaches and the players on defense and the great purge upon us. Berry is next. Chiefs positional player favorites of yesteryear are no more. Age of Mahomes has arrived.

I kind of like knowing that Chiefs fans dont have to have fan favorites at LBer or Safety as the best Chiefs player anymore. It's all about the QB. It's great knowing Chiefs are putting up 40 every game regardless if the Edge rusher is making 100 million or 100 dollars.
