Here's where I am.

I am not overly concerned with Nagy as our OC.

I am, however, interested in the reports that there are members of the Chiefs FO that see him as Andy's heir apparent.

Pat very clearly delineated EB's impact on the "details" that we current seem to lack. He gave Nagy some praise as well, but it was clear EB's role hasn't really been replaced.

Not Nagy's fault when Toney can't run a read ****ing option.

Or Patrick's arm gets hit.

The best thing EB did was get out from under Andy's shadow. He was never going to get any credit in KC because Andy and his legendary offensive mind.

Maybe there's a reason why Toney is a WR and no longer a QB, and you shouldn't have him do QB things.

And yes, I know he played QB in high school or whatever the crap

I agree, they brought him back because of his familiarity w/players, and because they want him to be the HC when Andy retires.

I don't know on that one (player familiarity). The only players that we're even on the roster in the offense when he was last here were Mahomes (as Smith's backup) and Kelce. Everyone else has no experience with Nagy.

Also, he was the OC when Smith had the best season of his career. That has to mean something.

In terms of the heir-apparent, I think that is very much possibly part of their plan, but I think Veach and Clark would put out all the feelers since it would be the most desirable coaching job vacancy potentially ever.

Obviously, the offense has struggled relative to its potential.

I think Pat carries a lot of the blame, especially against the Jets and last night against the Broncos. Those games were not up to his standard. But coaching certainly carries some too, and I'm sure Nagy is feeling pressure to right the ship.

There's a lot of "new" this season. New receivers, a new OC, a new backup QB (Henne always consulted Patrick on the sideline), and a new QB coach. Those are all things that have an effect.

I think it's universally agreed that play and execution was stupid. As was the fake kick.
