Offensive Tackles

I'm not going to overreact as it's only been 2 games but boy has their play has been meh at best. I'm not too worried about Taylor as I am Smith who looked like a declining player in Tampa. Everyone says it was because he was injured and maybe he still is but this has to get better if we're going to repeat as champs

Do I think we'll be privy to all those conversations? No. Do I damn sure hope they're happening and with some level of righteous anger? You're damn right I do.

But I'm certainly not gonna get to where you are - "Eh, i guess we just need to be okay playing by a different set of rules than everyone else..."
The Chiefs clearly haven't been okay with it. Andy and Patrick never call out the refs and they both did just that to the media days ago. Andy's usually respectful and stays away from that but yet he didn't.

If he's saying that to the media where everyone can hear it then it's obvious that he has spoken to officials about it pre-game and will likely continue to do so.

You don't think Andy hasn't been pissed about this for 2 weeks now? We all know that they're doing something. At this point it's clear Andy is talking with every officiating crew before the games to rightfully stand on ceremony about this bullshit, but at this point I don't see it stopping.

You should be happy. This is a badge of honor for us. You said yourself. "We wear the black hat now fellas". This comes with the territory.

I saw them do this type of bullshit after bullshit thing to the Patriots and haven't seen it since. It's an honor gentlemen. We're at the top of the mountain and they want us down.

When DJ was talking about wearing the black hat, he didn't mean we should take the NFL's cock in our ass with no complaints.

I've only seen this happen twice and the first time was the Patriots. As far as I can tell, it's clear that the NFL doesn't like dynasties bc it makes a lot of their fans feel apathetic.

Some of you guys need to go back and see what the Patriots had to deal with bc it wasn't just cheating shit. They dealt with something just like this when they started their dynasty.

This is where we differ.

I think it'd be prudent to fix the issue and then continue to fight against the league.

I want consistency as well. I have noted that illegal formation is not called uniformly across the league.

I'm just saying that we have two options:

1) bitch and moan while continuing to having Taylor line up illegally; therefore, allowing the officials to rat **** us at inopportune times as they've already shown they are willing to do

OR

2) make sure Taylor lines up legally to avoid costly penalties and take the fight to the league without shooting ourselves in the foot in the process

These aren't even remotely analogous situations. This isn't situation specific (which could, theoretically, be universally applied) - it's PLAYER specific.

One. Single. Guy. In the entire league.

It's one dude getting this treatment and not to make an example for other players to follow, but just to ****ing pick on him.

And your position is just lunacy. This is an acceptance of a billion dollar organization using Kangaroo Court logic.

It doesn't need to be a 1:1 analog in order to serve its purpose. Note that I said it "sort of reminds me of.."

At it's core, the issue is us being upset that our player is being flagged for being in the wrong when our player is clearly in the wrong.

What's worse is that this is a pre-snap issue. These penalties are supposed to take almost all subjectivity out of the equation. If there's one penalty you shouldn't get, it's one before the ball is even ****ing snapped.

Get your shit right, THEN bitch.

Yes the NFL hosed the Pats so hard giving them every close call.

This is an easy fix. The NFL rule says that a body part must be at the belt of the center. It doesn't say helmet. Just tell him to hold his arm out and it's fixed. Then try to let the NFL flag it.

In 2004 Peyton Manning got his shit pushed in again by the Patriots. They embarrassed him and he went crying to the league about it. Guess what? Goodell changed that cornerback contact rule for his poster boy Peyton Manning.

The result? The Patriots were targeted for it all season and in the playoffs Peyton scored 38 points on their defense in large part bc of that rule change. The cherry on top was the Patriots having twice as many penalties as the Colts called on them that game.

Yeah, I'm not sure I remember a time that the Patriots weren't getting phantom roughing calls and the most ridiculous overturns imaginable in championship games.

It started with some ridiculous ass obscure rule that never got called until it put them in a Super Bowl and it most assuredly never got any harder for them. The Patriots got the benefit of every close call for 2 decades even AFTER they got caught blatantly cheating. Multiple times.

No. We "fix" the issue and the rest of the league continues to take advantage of a deeper set up while we don't. You're kidding yourself if you think us having Taylor line up perfectly is gonna result in the NFL saying "well now that the Chiefs are doing it right, lets make sure everyone else is."

On the highway its a given that everyone drives a bit over the posted, LEGAL, limit. Do you think that if you start driving the posted limit to a T, that everyone else is gonna follow suit. C'mon now.
