Andy should have played for the field goal at the end of the first half, we had a minute left. hopefully this makes it so we do just play along with teams and we start blowing the ****ers out without regard to sportsmanship

Surprising QBR grades from ESPN:

Mahomes 86/100
Burrow 66/100

Expected Burrow to be graded much higher.

Have to keep it in perspective. Yes, the refs can get ****ed. Yes, they stole a W and possibly cost the Chiefs HFA. Yes, we should be mad. But depressed? Nah.

There's a fairly solid chance that Tennessee loses to their first playoff opponent, giving the Chiefs HFA throughout. And if they don't? Bring on the revenge game. You think a pissed-off KC is going to let Tannehill beat them again with everything on the line? They'd be laser-focused for that game.

The silver lining to today's loss and others this season is that KC will have extra motivation to crush these teams in a rematch. You think that the Bengals are repeating this in Arrowhead in the postseason? Having that extra chip can be huge. I feel way better about a rematch with the Bills than I would have if KC had won three straight vs Allen.

Also....don't forget that many had thrown in the towel at 3-4. Many said this was an awful team that would be drafting in the top 10. And even later, as they started to string wins together, it was thought that they'd lost their mojo on offense. But over the last several weeks, they've looked like the Chiefs again and Mahomes has his swagger back.

Today was a setback for the D, but take away some of those untimely penalties that extended Cincy drives, plus Spags' 3rd and 27 call, and are we feeling badly about the D? I think we'd feel okay about it, aside from a few blown coverages.

The 3rd and 27 call by Spags was just so inexplicably bad. JB was dropping dimes to Chase all 2nd half. Just needed to keep them in front of you and force a FG. We would have stilll had a chance with 3 timeouts to march down the field and win. Leaving Mahomes on the sideline to end the game should get someone’s ass on the Defense kicked.

Btw, Ward wasn’t playing bad…..Chase is just that ****ing good, and Burrow was spectacular delivering the ball. That combo is ****ing legit.
The people pissing on Ward need to ask themselves...

Would you trust Ward in single coverage against Tyreek Hill? If the answer is **** no, then it should be the same answer for Chase. Spags wears this one.

The bottom line is the officials are doing exactly what NY has asked them to do, they're a protected class (won't ever be questioned in public for their action like players are), and as long as they're officiating toward preferred match-ups, "NY" isn't going to change anything. Hunt included.
I fear you're perfectly right

The defensive penalties trumped the offensive penalties. Bullshit PI calls on 4th down are killers. 4th down penalties period. Like hands to the collar bone.

The worst part is that Spags saw this happening all game long. It's sad that he's so committed to the scheme he's drawn up that he can't/won't adjust to what his eyes are seeing.

I'm 2-1 this year. I take full responsibility of this loss and take it personally. The loss is on me.

My record in game threads is 0-1. It was the home Titans matchup in - degree weather.

TigerUppercut razzed me so bad I vowed to never start a game thread again. It takes guts to start a game thread and I’m happy we’re 2-1 riding with you this year. We’ll get em’ next week.
