We don't need super productive. We just need guys that have their roles and do them successfully. I think he could give you that. Even if they bring in OBJ...that's all he's going to do.

I'm meh on Davis, but in all fairness to him he's had Mariota, Tannehill, and Zach Wilson throwing to him for most of his career.

It's a cap league and when you have great players, you also have substantial capital invested in them. That requires that you plan on significant contributions from them. You then allocate your remaining resources to areas where you DON'T have those force multipliers rather than trying to plan for an eventuality where you lose the one(s) you have.

We have finite resources in terms of picks/cap. We have to pick and choose where to allocate them. When I have Chris Jones at an area and Kadarius Toney/Lucas Niang at another, I'm not gonna focus on the area that has Chris Jones over the latter.

If he can stay healthy ... and if he can be put in a situation to function as the secondary option, I think he's fine. How much do you pay for that? I'd definitely think about a very heavily incentivized, JuJu-like deal for him.

Yup.

Folks forget that he was REALLY good that final year in Tennessee. And he's been an efficient weapon his entire career. Good size, good speed, solid routes.

All that's ever held him back is health. You give him 14 games here next season and he goes over 1,000 yards, IMO. I like him a lot.

I said it a couple times yesterday, but I think absolute worst case scenario is they sign Davis and draft a guy out of that Rice, Mims, Scott, Perry, Tillman tier.

And I'd be perfectly fine with that.

Just can’t see him falling to us in rd 2. I bet he’s a top 50 pick.

There are so many complementary skills sets there and you've really covered every base imaginable. But I question if Rice will fall to the back of the 2nd.

You can allocate to all of them and not have a dumpster fire at any of them IMO. I think Gray could step in and perform at some reasonable level if Kelce went down. As we've said, you're not replacing an All-Pro, you're trying to mitigate the damages.

Would you be satisfied with a solution that was something like:

FA: DT A'Shawn Robinson 6m, WR Corey Davis 3m
Draft: Combo of RT, ER, DT in 1-3 and WR, DB, ER, DT, OL, RB day 3.
