Maybe not. I’ve resigned myself from getting excited bc it probably won’t happen
If you're going by what the experts are saying, he'll be in our range in round 2. Many don't have him going until round 3.

There are so many complementary skills sets there and you've really covered every base imaginable. But I question if Rice will fall to the back of the 2nd.
Honestly, that's about the most ideal way to do this for the long haul if we wanna get out of these patchwork guys.

Well I felt this way about Creed Humphrey and he was one of the few guys I was 100% on. No clue how a guy that good fell so far. He had to 50 written all over him but these teams just got it wrong.

He is a C though. That probably had a lot to do with it

If Mims goes earlier than expected, it probably means somebody like Rice falls unexpectedly.

I'm good with either one.

I will always wonder WTF the Packers were thinking.

They didn't just NEED a center when they passed on him in the 2nd, they DRAFTED a center when they passed on Creed in the 2nd.

It was just such a cock-up. I don't get it at all.

Would you be satisfied with a solution that was something like:

FA: DT A'Shawn Robinson 6m, WR Corey Davis 3m
Draft: Combo of RT, ER, DT in 1-3 and WR, DB, ER, DT, OL, RB day 3.
Probably; though I think there's gonna be a WR in the 2nd that I'll be awfully disappointed to see us pass up - I'm just saying that I don't NEED Robinson at $6 million. If Davis costs $5 million and Woods costs $2 million, I'd be fine with that.

With your allocation of $6 million at DT and a first or 2nd day pick, that's more weight than I would require as strictly necessary.

And if Jones goes down, you're just giving up on getting interior pressure with 4 (except for on pure passing downs when you probably move Omenihu in there) and instead you're using more blitzes off the edge or some odd interior stunt/blitz combos.

At that point you're going old-school and using beef in the middle while trying to be creative to generate pressure.

I still don’t see why any team who wanted a center could pass on him.

Is it possible to find a safer pick than him?

He had like a perfect RAS. He was a productive player at a big school. I don’t recall any injury concerns.

What could you possibly see that would make you pass on that guy?
