Wayne Simmons and Derrick Thomas: The Monday Night Meltdown.

Who remembers the Monday night game back in 98' where Derrick Thomas dragged Shannon Sharp downfield about 10 yards by his face mask? I think Wayne Simmons was throwing hooks and jabs too.. LOL. That was awesome....

I wasn't referring to it as part of the curse... I was just lookin' back on an awesome memory.... I loved seeing Thomas and Simmons going apeshit on Shannon Sharp.... Funny shit and lifelong good memories..

Wayne Simmons got cut, he didn't play long for the chiefs but he was pretty good.

Weird story: Years later, I had a random dream that I met Wayne Simmons and in my dream I told him he shouldn't have got cut and then I woke up that morning and read the news that he had died that night. Spooky.

This game was on the night before my father in law's funeral so it wasn't very important at the time. I didn't end up watching it so to this day I don't really know what exactly happened. And nothing I've heard about it since then has made me feel like I want to know.

Which game had Hard Man in it?

That's to this day perhaps the most innocent-yet-still-inappropriately-named boss in video game history.

I think that was Mega Man 3.

Hey, remember that time in 1982 when the Chiefs played the the 49ers at Arrowhead the day after Christmas. Joe Montana got hit and threw an interception to Thomas Howard. Who were the announcers that day for CBS? I think it was Dick Stockton. Anyway, that was awesome ...

It was the expectations set up for that season. Whitlock predicting 16-0 after we got McGlockton. Brandsmart offering free TVs if we finished undefeated.

Then it all cam crashing down with Marty’s firing and the whole Gannon vs GrBac thing. Weird season. This game was the beginning of the end of an era. We didn’t make the playoffs from 98 to 2003.
