If as a fan, you expect to see good football in the 1st pre-season game, regardless of the off-season situation then you are setting yourself up for a disappointment anyway.

Some coaches want to win the games in pre-season. Denny Green was really big on that. Most coaches want to evaluate players.
I remember one year in pre-season Arizona blew us out of the ****ing water at Arrowhead. All the talk then was we were gonna suck and the Cards were awesome sauce under Buddy. Later that season when we played them and it counted Steve Bono broke off a 70+ yard run and we kicked the living **** out of them. |
