"A hamstring injury last preseason forced him to miss all of last year and Bishop has yet to be able to take part in any of the Packers offseason workouts."
That is not a good sign.

I'm sure Dorsey will give it consideration since he would have been involved in drafting him with the Packers.
The hamstring injury wasn't just a strain, he ruptured it. If Green Bay couldn't find a suitor for him around the draft weekend then maybe that injury is scaring teams away. |

If he doesn't get the offers he's looking for, I could see Dorsey inviting him on a 1 yr prove it deal. Yea it pushes Akeem to the side, but WGAF? Would put Nico on an internship for his rookie year, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
From bishops pov, he can prove he's healthy, and still young enough for big payday elsewhere next off season. It's the only way I see this going down for KC. Last edited by ct; 06-12-2013 at 09:55 AM.. Reason: typo |

If they could re-sign Albert and get back some money I would be for it.

We don't need any GB castoffs. We should be growing our own young talent. Adding Bishop would do nothing but take valuable reps away from Nico, who I think is absolutely perfect in our system. |

I like Nico but he hasn't done jack shit. I'll take the known product in Bishop and see if Nico can beat him out.

Referring to a player coming off IR and still can't practice as a "known product". |

I'd like to clarify...
I think Nico Johnson develops quickly into an average (maybe a hair below) NFL starter...not a big difference maker or anything. Just solid...but he can probably get to the level of Bishop. He is also young and very cheap. Throw Akeem Jordan into the mix and there really isn't a need for another ILB...especially one that still can't even practice and will probably want to get paid a significant amount. |
