Ok was just looking at Bowe's stats when I checked out his yardage total....

So now the question is...does this mean he is cursed the next game? or that he will bring in some dark power to have a monster game against buf?

To bad he doesn't have 66 catches and 6 touchdowns.

One thing that drives me crazy is how many times in the last couple of games is D. Bowe trying to make the stylish one handed catch. That is OK to do if that is the only chance you have at getting a reception, but I've noticed too many times he could of put more effort in to get both hands on the ball. Hopefully the coaches have noticed and will coach him on it.

I think it's still fairly impressive.
That's the standard for a good NFL Wide Receiver.
Roughly 20 guys do that from year to year.
That's fairly special I think.

The standard for a special WR is closer to 1200-1300 yards.

Its that average of 62 yards a game that makes it impressive.

Look how many great receivers get held to 15-20 yard games on Sunday from time to time.

It takes the ability of being able to put up solid numbers week after week without faltering that gets you to 1000. Or if you do have an off game, being able to come back with a huge one.

I personally think that 1200-1300 is the benchmark for a WR1.

I was just looking over the final stats for the season and remembered this post from the Dwayne Bowe thread a while back.

It does seem like 1200+ is the place to be for a #1 receiver.

I think if he spends a little time with the Juggs machine this off-season he'll be ready to be a legitimate #1 next season.
