If they wanted to be competitive, they would have drafted Mahomes.

Personally I don't understand the appeal with gambling. With that said....the question i would ask myself is, would I be more upset losing 200 bucks or not placing the bet and they actually won? Which decision could you live with?

I've spent $200 on worse things and giving the potential payout I'm OK with the ROI. Sometimes it's just fun and I have a gut feeling on this one. See my sig, sometimes they work out. |

I would launch a load into orbit if the chiefs got to play the bears in the Super Bowl.

I don't gamble, so I am not sure how this all works. But I am assuming a $200 bet nets you $560,000 if the Bears win the NFC.
So if the Bears do not make the playoffs, you are out $200. But, in theory, if they do qualify, could you not start hedging with each round of the playoffs? For example. Say they win the North and play at home in the WC round. Bet $10,000 on the opponent. Bears lose, and you are up roughly $10,000. Bears win, and you now have $10,200 invested to make $560,000. And you are on to the Divisional Round. Bet $20,000 on the opponent. Bears lose, and you are up roughly $9,800. Bears win, and you now have $30,200 invested to make $560,000. And you are on to the NFC Championship Game. Bet $250,000 on the opponent. Bears lose and you profit around $220,000 off of your original $200 bet. Bears win and you make around $250,000 on your original $200 wager. Is this thinking flawed? |

Exactly. Think of this bet as when the lady sang "I dream a dream" on American Idol. |
