What is Gregg's status? Did he retire?

Nothing to back this up but I think Gregg comes back for another year. I'll be happy if they draft Chapman but don't think he'll be ready to play this year. The Taylor pick is solid, there will be a run on safeties due to the lack of them in this year's draft. If we take Pioli at his word, the Chief's will go OL early. Our only depth is Harris who can't stay healthy and Mims who was an UDFA out of a Division 3 school last year. Where as you have us going DL with the first two picks, I see them taking OL with 1 & 2. We'll see.

Based on his ranking at NFL.com, i dont know that we'd have to use a second on Ta'amu, the only 3-4 team - the scheme he seems the best fit for - , ahead of us is buffalo & iirc they arent all that needy at NT.
Of course a 4-3 team like carolina or washington might take him, but i'm kinda guessing & hoping they wont, that he'll fall to us a bit. He's definitely my favorite choice based on what i'm seeing & reading, i dont need an elite athlete there, just a big, red, immovable fire hydrant. |

The Chiefs finished last place in the AFC West by one game, against a tough schedule with their starting QB, franchise RB, TE, and safety all out. We started Palko for a month, including two games over Kyle Orton. Change any of these factors, and the Chiefs win the AFC West, and probably a few more games. What did the Chiefs miss for a good part of last year? A non-atrocious QB. A threat at RB. A right tackle. Good safety play. Talent at tight end. Any non-Hali passrush. All these problems have been fixed. Cassel's coming back, Charles is back, Winston is signed, Berry is back, Moeaki is back with Boss in the wings, and Houston finally caught on. The only two real holes this team has is QB and NT. |

The Colts are going with a two-gap 3-4, however. And they're going to need everything. |

Should, yes.
He is currently a free agent, and Crennel will probably shop for him for another one-year deal if we don't draft a starter at the postion. |

I like Boykins, but he is even smaller than Arenas, no? Hell of a kick returner though still hope we can trade down for a pick...what do people think about Crick (DE) in the 2nd/3rd versus a DE in the first? the guy sounds like a dorsey clone (run stuffer) at a discount price

I'm all for drafting for depth, but this isn't a team that's got a lot of weapons. We're solid almost everywhere, but we really aren't great anywhere. We've got no QB, and we've got 1 guy who gets to the QB. Drafting for depth in the first round is a terrible idea when you've got the #11 pick.

Brockers isn't a draft for depth. It's drafting a starter. |

One of the more in depth prospect rankings out there. Updated recently. What's interesting is that they have Ta'amu ranked in the 90s.
