Of course they did. The best thing about Wilson was never his talent. It was his talent relative to what he was paid. If they could get a QB on a rookie deal to give them above average production, they'd be all over that.

It's like saying the Chiefs should have drafted Russell Wilson over Jeff Allen when they picked in the second or third round, in all hindsight they probably could have but who cares

Too bad that's the only lesson he ever learned.

Exactly. Cleveland would have traded their entire draft twice for a super bowl winning QB under the age of 30.

Seahawks know the only reason they almost won 2 straight Super Bowls was the super cheap rookie contract for Russell Wilson.
Wonder if Eagles and Rams might think about letting Wentz and Goff leave in free agency. McVay probably figures he can get good production out of many QB’s, while Nick Foles has made Wentz look pretty replaceable in Philly the last two seasons. |

It's easy to say this since we have mahomes, but unlike almost everybody else I've never been a fan of Wilson . I think surrounding players and good DEFENCE made him what he is.id take pat away and above him all day long

Every team claims later on that they “really liked” a guy who became a star. But what else would they say? “Damn, we really whiffed on that guy. Our entire scouting dept thought he would suck!” (You’ll also note no team ever claims to have really liked the dudes who ended up sucking) |
