It blows my mind that 10 franchises didn’t see what Reid, Payton, and Arians saw. Physical talent off the charts, photographic memory/strong brain, ZERO baggage off the field, and the added bonus of exposure to pro athletes as a child because of his father and godfather.

I've read that Reid is a horrible coach.

Look at those 10 franchises though. It's mostly the also ran slapdick franchises who would love to be 9-7 every year.

Plus as great as Pat has been, he wasn't a perfect prospect and it's hard for a lot of these teams to see stuff I guess.

I guess it never occurred to me before that Andy targeted Alex because he (Andy) wanted to continue to import the college game into the NFL and thought Alex would be a good fit since he did that at Utah. I thought Andy was calling the RPOs and WR screens to mask Alex's deficiencies instead of thinking Alex would allow him to call those things.

The talk at the time of the trade was Alex was "safe" because he didn't throw picks and was smart (gigabytes) but it looks like Andy just wanted to continue his mad scientist ways.. Now that it is all installed, Andy can really level up with Mahomes.

"What kind of moron would ever post that?"

You're joking of course, as everyone is aware of the venom spewn Reid's way on CP.

It's the Ned Yost phenomenon: he's an idiot, until the Royals win the Series. If they hadn't, I dare say he'd still be viewed that way (and by some he still might be).

Is the consensus changing on Reid? Maybe. Win the Super Bowl and suddenly he's in the Hall of Fame. Still, some will then credit Mahomes for carrying him past his obvious deficiencies, of which he has plenty.

Win, and you're a hero. Lose, and you're a fat **** who can't manage game situations. And such, life and fandom, will always be.

I reject the genius label for Reid, because he keeps losing big leads in the playoffs because he refuses to run the damn ball.

Indy, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee all came from behind to beat us because we stopped running the football.

Offensive geniuses run the ball with an 18 point lead in the second half of a playoff game.

Ned is no where near Reid's pedigree. He couldn't hold Reid's jockstrap. I wouldn't say Ned is the worst ever, but anyone could have successfully managed that team to a world series. He was blessed with the best bullpen ever.

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned anywhere!

I was looking for the Andy Ried Sucks thread.

I think it's noteworthy isn't it?
