MLS Thread

To be honest with you I am not that interested in the MLS as there is no team in my area, however tonight is Landon Donovan's return to the LA Galaxy.

The game (Seattle vs. LA) is on ESPN2 right now.

I will be watching our soccer hero as he takes on the fluorescent green team from Seattle.

I'll probably hit up some Wizards games now. I like that they play closer to home now.

They have been in a pretty tough spot. Just not generating enough offense. The gameday experience is a lil meh still but next year when the stadium is done it is going to be ****ing awesome.

I would have to drive 2 hours to go to any MLS game. I wish the Galaxy would at least play one or two games a year in San Diego.

Yea, I am sure the joke isn't on the person who goes thread to thread talking about shit they don't like. Sad as hell.

It would be a good idea to do an exhibition. Kind of like how there is an NHL hockey game in KC every year. Has there ever even been talk of an MLS team in SD?

Yep, Chivas USA was almost a San Diego MLS team, and then they even talked about moving them here after a season or two of their existance.

This post illustrates how easy you are to **** with.

Go look at how much I actually go from thread to thread.

I'll bet you'll find about 50 posts in 10 years.

But you let those posts get inside your head.

Pretty much every post you make involves talking about shit you don't like or hate. You think I am making this stuff up out of thin air? I mean its fine...we live in a great country where you have the freedom to hate yourself that much.

No doubt their fans are great and their ownership/front office did an incredible job of marketing the team but they act like no one has ever had fan support in this league. Toronto was doing the same stuff Seattle has done(selling out from day 1, standing/chanting all game) and their team sucked compared to the Sounders who were good from the beginning. They need to realize teams have had great support in this league since the league was formed just not always in the numbers Seattle had, and without these previous fans MLS would not have lasted long enough for Seattle to get a team.

I am friends with someone in the Sounders organization and after just one year of working for them he came back with this attitude of every other team in the MLS is minor league. He bragged about the international friendlies they were getting and didn't think KC or any of the other markets deserved a team like Man U. coming to town.

I will give credit to their fans for creating a great atmosphere and to their front office for building a winner in their first year after expansion but this early success has created an attitude that rubs a lot of MLS fans the wrong way.

There's a difference between talking about subjects that I don't like and talking about things I don't like about subjects.

But that's a distinction that your dumb ass is too stupid to grasp.
