Again, tell me why ALLEN isn't starting?

Holliday hasn't done much, if anything. Dalton, Allen Hicks and Browning seem to be our best line atm. Siavii and Sims aren't bad either..as Sims is showing he can play (even after the injury)

So why isn't ALLEN starting as he has 4 sacks?

I bet Allen got more snaps then Holliday last week even though he doesn't start. (Allen that is.) Allen was coming in on 2nd down alot not just 3rd. I wouldn't start him yet the added repsonsibility could interfere with his sack/pass rush game. I think we need to just keep on the way we're going.

Yeah, Allen's a little light to be an everydown guy (as in to defense the run.) Indy likes to run on 1st down, so Holliday'll get the start. In 3rd and longs, you're likely to see Allen a bunch. Makes sense.

Holliday is obviously doing a good job against the run.

Allen is undersized at 265 lbs. Allen has been getting most of the snaps at RDE on passing downs, with Holliday moving inside.

The Chiefs are handling Jared Allen the right way - as a pass rushing defensive end.

I'm shocked that he has 4 sacks in 6 games....if he keeps it up he could be rookie of the year.

If by starting you mean a player that should get the majority of the defensive snaps at DE then I would have to say no. He is too light and the monster OTs would wear him down and render him ineffective. If you just mean should he get the first series in the game then go into the rotation as he is now being used then I guess it really does not matter much.

I think jarred allen can be the difference maker against the colts. I think he is going to get to peyton with only a four man pass rush

Allen is playing like a man possessed, he should be even better next year since he wasn't really serious in the weight room until last year by his own admission. He isn't ready for an every down role though yet, I think Gun is using him well. R-Kal who?

That, or they're waiting until he's house trained.

START JARED ALLEN! He has one thing that a lot of other guys on our defense don't have, and that is, "passion".
