KC vs. Denver Crowds. According to Coach Mora

Mora's answer to a question during his press conference where he compares Denver's crowd versus KC's crowd

Mora: "You know what? Our team was really calm yesterday. In the locker room before the game, in pre-game warm-ups, even on the sideline when we got down, things were calm. No one panicked. It felt different in Kansas City. Kansas City’s crowd is amazing and you felt it. You felt it. It’s like I talk about our Dome…you want it to be a suffocating feeling. You felt that at Kansas City. At Denver yesterday…you just didn’t feel it. You didn’t feel the heat, you didn’t feel the emotion, you didn’t feel the crowd, so we didn’t get worked up. We kind of just kept playing and we felt like our offense was moving the ball and they continued to move the ball, so we felt like we’d get back in it. And we did. But I think, honest to goodness, a lot of it has to do with the crowd. It’s a big difference between Kansas City and Denver. Big difference. Big. Big difference between Kansas City and most places. We want to be talking about Atlanta like I’m talking about Kansas City and I think we’re on our way."

Of course I wasted no time rubbing this quote in the donks faces:

Someone actually brought up an excellent point:

When Invesco was built, they priced a lot of the "regular" fans out of the stadium. They've been replaced by the whine and cheese crowd who only have tickets so they can brag about it.

And yes, I spelled it "whine" on purpose.

now that you mention it, it does seem like it has more to do with the make-up of the crowd than just stadium design...

I hope that stereotype never gets slapped on the fans at Arrowhead. It would be great if the Org. can increase revenue through additional sky boxes, etc and keep the median price as is or, as lamar has stated, lower the median ticket price...

The funny thing is Invesco's South Stands are designed with some material so when the fans jump up and down or stomp their feets- the sound is supposed to reverberate and beget a deeper, louder tone.

The seats were supposedly to be made so when the fans bang on them as well, they too provide a more resonate sound.

Apparently, none of this can compare to the profound enthusiasm of Chiefs fans.

They did trick up the stadium ... which is fine. But, the new suites and high price seating did come at a cost ... the diehard fans that get rowdy. And, honestly the team wasn't giving the fans much to work with during the Falcons' game.

We are already the third highest and you still have trailer trash like me going so I don't think they will chase away the majority of the lungs from the stadium. besides, ticket revenue is a small part of the overall total revenue.

Every NFL team gets this money before a single game is played.

TV money 85 mil a year

Visa 8 mil a year

Gatorade 500 k a year

Ticket revenue a year 20 mil to 12 mil a year for an average NFL team

The NFL cap # is 72 mil this year. Do the math.

Kansas City has it very good with the fans and Arrowhead Stadium. I have lived in Nashville the past 5 years and though the Titans fans in got close to Arrowhead for a year or two, they never quite got to Arrowhead intensity and never sustained it. Arrowhead has got to be the best NFL experience! I cant wait to make it back to KC for a game or two.

The only time Arrowhead isn't going nuts is at the start of the 3rd qtr. Seems like a third of the fans are still waiting in line to use the toilet or they're waiting to get some food. I don't have a vote but if the Stadium/Arts proposal passes a few years from now most of the fans will be able to take care of business and get back to their seat before they miss a bunch of the 3rd qtr and the D won't miss the fans help.

I think it is the accoustics of Arrowhead that makes it the loudest place on earth.

But, It also takes massive imput to get that output.

In the 70's it was a quiet place.

Just think if we put a roof or a dome on Arrowhead. Have that noise reflect back down onto the field.

jeez man WTF was I thinking ...thinking of a way to increase the noise, not thinking too far ahead. A dome on Arrowhead? a sacreilge if there ever was one. I'm a minor league Mizzou fan. More home state proud than anything. Theres a pic of me way back when wearing the Mizzou colors.forgive me for I know not what I do....

If Bi-State 2 fails and in the future they decide to do this it had better be retractable and we get a Super Bowl out of the deal or else I'll go postal...
