Cubs dump Sosa

He's off to Baltimore pending a physical.

Both of em are pretty much regional for the most part. If you have a competative team in your area or grew up watching one they are both still very enjoyable.

This is why I find it very difficult to continue being a fan of professional sports.
Well you think about it, and I know it doesn't "technically" work this way because NFL players get their signing bonuses up front, but really you look at a guy like Peyton Manning and technically if you take his cap number for this year, he makes around $500,000 a game...

You left out the shit talking about their World Series chances during the regular season only to become silent later in the season

They're not really paying it out, they're simply redistributing what you pay for tickets. If this country goes through another serious recession, guess who comes crashing back to earth first?

Very interesting perspective, do I detect some division hatred similar to what we might feel toward the Donkeys and Faiders? Being a Royals fan I have always looked at the Cubs as "who gives a fu#k" but I am literally surrounded by them here.

My fuggin' college team hires GRob and my favorite baseball team trades for Sammy "blows more kisses than Johnny Morton" Sosa.
Somehow I am no longer concerned with the Chiefs draft this April.

I think that he'll let you trade spots on the "who gets to cyber with GoCheefs tonight" list. I hear he's in the running for the pole position.

Cards are my favorite NL team as well, raised on them. But even if you could be objective, isn't the Cubs thing very strange? How long has it been for them? Makes the Chiefs Super Bowl win seem like yesterday compared to that!
