They're replacing the windows in the skyscraper across the street.
This leads me to several observations.
1. Golly, what a boring job that would be. Pull out the window, clean out the gunk, put in a window, caulk, move on to the next window. This building appears to have 21 windows on each side of the building, and is 30 stories tall. That equates to about 2,520 windows.
2. It might get more interesting when you're standing in the opening on the 28th floor.
3. I hope they don't run out of money. Right now, they've got plywood over a couple dozen windows.
4. I wonder how much that costs?
5. The rumor mill says that they're turning the building into apartments, from its old use as offices. There'd have to be a lot of plumbing work involved in doing that.
6. The top two floors were a restaurant/conference center with all windows. That'd be a rockin' penthouse. Each floor is maybe 20,000 square feet.
7. It'd be cool to see it inside while it's all gutted.
8. Whoa. There's one dude who's working on the outside of a window, and he's got one of those little small cherry pickers. He's got it stretched out horizontally so he can walk outside (five floors up) and do his work. I can see the thing bounce as he moves. Ugh.
That's all. Don't mind me.
